There is a metro station in front of the church. You don't have to climb the stairs if you are not capable. It's worth to look at the streets on the fist balcony.
They are steps and they are in movies. It can get loud here with Spanish chanting and people being patriotic. Go super late at night when empty for better view

The best thing you can do here ..is to go to the rooftop bar and enjoy the Spanish Steps views drinking a glass of wine. Comfortable, nobody will put his selfie stick before your face here????
