The hill of Montjuïc offers a variety of areas to explore, including parks, gardens and a historic castle. It's also the destination of two cable cars - the perfect attraction for families with kids.
This immense green area is in fact the biggest park in Barcelona and is home to the likes of the Poble Espanyol open-air museum; the 1992 Olympic stadium and the Montjuïc castle.
You can reach the entrance by Funicular del Parc de Montjuïc and use Telefèric de Montjuïc to get Castell de Montjuïc. But don't even think about getting there by walking in the middle of the hot sun.
Take the cable car to view the city from the top, not the one which goes trough the port! Poble Espanyol is a great place to visit, don’t miss this place!
One of the few green escapes in the city. The space is very large, with many hidden gems, quiet gardens, scenic walks, museums, fountains, and of course the views:)
