Takes some 4 hours to top and it's really cold there even in April. Carry less. Night climb is fun and easier for me since you don't have to see all the stairs ahead you so you just walk.
It's a lot of stairs and a pretty tough time if you are a beginner. Do not forget to bring extra layers of clothing as it can get really cold up! Also, water and food prices increase as you climb!
Take a taxi to the back side of the mountain. Explore less travelled road and get cheap yet awesome food. Dong Yu Dao(东御道) is for example a good choice and taxi from city center costs around ¥20.
Sicuramente fuori dagli itinerari occidentali classici, è comunque un posto meraviglioso e faticoso ( se si decide di raggiungerlo a piedi come da tradizione)
